Charlotte Lusk

Charlotte Davis Lusk, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away peacefully on the evening of September 19, 2021 with her two daughters by her side.

Charlotte was born in Marks, Mississippi on November 26, 1945 to the late Orville Alexander Davis, Jr. and Polly Barringer Davis.   In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Orville Alexander ‘Alex’ Davis, III.  She graduated from Marks High School and attended the University of Mississippi.  Her biggest joy was being a mother.  She was active in volunteering, serving as PTA president, and substitute teaching at her daughter’s schools.  She retired from Graybar Electric Company in Memphis, Tennessee and moved to the Kansas City area in 2007 to be close to her grandchildren.

She enjoyed dancing, music, and spending time with friends.  She was often known as the “life of the party”.   Her friends in Kansas City got a kick out her Southern accent and referred to her as their “Southern Belle”.

She is survived by her daughters Kimberly Lusk Herriott (Mark) of Overland Park, KS and Kathleen Lusk Reaves (Bruce) of Corinth, MS, her grandchildren Zachary Herriott, Morgan Herriott and Makenna Reaves, and her niece Poppy Dyer and nephew Brett Davis.

There will be a graveside service at First Marks Cemetery in Marks, Mississippi on Friday, October 22nd at 11:00 AM.
