Vaughn made his professional mark as a metro bus driver in the Kansas City area. His career behind the wheel was more than just a job—it was an opportunity to serve his community, ensuring countless residents reached their destinations safely and reliably.

Vaughn is survived by his daughters, Lisa Carter and Pam Williams, and his son, Michael Draper. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles P. Carter, and his mother, Pearl Mae Dorsey.
