Paul Degenhardt, III, age 71, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on August 2, 2025. Born on November 19, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas, Paul was known for his kind and good-hearted nature. He had an infectious laugh that could make anyone smile and break into laughter themselves. With an impressive memory, he never missed the opportunity to reach out and celebrate special occasions with those he cared about, ensuring that friends and family felt loved and appreciated.
Paul was truly a jack of all trades, thriving in various roles throughout his life. In his off time, he found joy in supporting his favorite sports teams, particularly the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, where he enthusiastically cheered for them through every game they played.
He is survived by his wife, April Degenhardt; his son, Christopher Trey Degenhardt; step-children Samantha (Travis) Summerlin, Mari Wilson, Tony Wilson, Caleb (Sara) Wilson, Brenda Brell (Russell Wright), and Henry Wilson; along with 11 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Paul also leaves behind his brother, Mark (Kathy) Degenhardt.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Paul Degenhardt, Jr.; his mother, Rebecca (Wilkerson) Degenhardt; and his brother, Kirt Degenhardt. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know him, as he leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, and cherished memories.
