Lyle Edward Wiggans, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on March 14, 2026 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Overland Park, Kansas.

Lyle was born January 22, 1944 in Fort Scott, Kansas, the son of Ralph and Mabel (Endicott) Wiggans. After completing high school, he was drafted into the United States Army and was sent to Vietnam. He was a member of the 101st Airborne Division and made 19 jumps in enemy territory.

Following his return to Kansas City, he met the love of his life, Jerre Kling, Jr. and they married on September 14, 1968 and were married over 57 glorious years.

Lyle enjoyed fishing, baseball, football, basketball and golf but his real passion were his horses; Target, JC and Lace, whom he loved more than life itself.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Thomas Wiggans; and two sisters, Polly Watkins and Loretta Melone. He is survived by his wife, Jerre and their beloved dog, Maggie May as well as brother, Donnie Wiggans; sister, Carolyn Arbogast, and many nieces and nephews.
