In loving memory of Larry "Dumas" Walker, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and esteemed member of the community. Larry peacefully departed from this world surrounded by his loving wife and six cherished family members at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri on March 1, 2024.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri on August 28, 1944, Larry graduated from Risco High School in 1962, where he actively participated in various sports such as baseball and basketball. His exceptional skills were not limited to sports; he could type an impressive 60 words-per-minute on a manual typewriter.

Larry dedicated an impressive 31 years of his life to Ford Motor Company as a tractor and automotive parts distributor. Even after retiring, he continued to find joy in working part-time jobs. His work extended beyond his career, as he served as a workers' union representative, campaigned for a local mayor's election successfully, and contributed to raising funds for various charities through the Belton Jaycees.

A man of many talents and interests, Larry enjoyed organizing fishing excursions, embarking on float trips, and passionately supporting his favorite teams – the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. One of the highlights of his sports fandom was witnessing the 2024 Chiefs Super Bowl win on the big screen.

Larry was preceded in death by his mother Laura Walker, father Earl Walker, step-mother Virginia Walker, sister Maudie Walker, brothers Jerry Walker and Mike Walker, and grandson Jacob Kruse. He leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories with his surviving family members.
