Jerry Leonard Lane II, 42, of St. Louis, Missouri passed away on June 28th, 2025 after an automobile accident. Jerry will be interned at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery at a later time.
Jerry was born on October 22, 1982, the son of Jerry L. Lane I and Theresa (Hendrickson) Lane. Jerry joined the Army in 2007 and served for 7 years. Jerry completed several deployments for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. He received medals and accommodations that include:
Afghanistan Campaign Medal with 2 Campaign Stars, Three Army Commendations Medals, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with one Campaign Star and NATO medal.
After his retirement from the Army, Jerry went on to pursue his associate degree in the Arts.
Jerry is survived by three sons, Brandon Yates, Rhys Lane and Franklin Lane, his aunt, Barbara Turner, one brother, Rick (Marie) Lane and one sister Sherryl (Vernon) Thompson, as well as nieces and nephews.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his maternal grandparents, James and Dora Johnson and his paternal grandparents, Stanley and Erma Lane.
His family would like to thank the University of Kansas Medical Center and the Midwest Transplant Network for all their help, care and guidance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation in Jerry’s honor.
