In loving memory of Guy, who passed away on October 26, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and service. Born on June 2, 1944, in the tranquil town of Elijah, Missouri, Guy was a beloved son of the late Guy Henry Johnston and Zelma Fare. He spent his early years in Missouri, instilled with strong values of integrity and perseverance by his cherished mother.
Guy's journey was marked by an unwavering commitment to justice and truth. Growing up in West Plains, Missouri, when he completed his education, he joined the FBI, where he dedicated 25 years of his life to upholding the law and protecting the community. His career with the FBI was one of distinction and honor, and his colleagues admired him for his sharp intellect and relentless determination. His commitment and skill set did not end with the FBI, he even shared his skills in photography with the community and was appointed the Kansas City King’s Basketball Teams head photographer. After retiring from the FBI, Guy channeled his investigative skills into his own business as a Private Investigator, where his knack for unraveling mysteries and his compassionate approach made a lasting impact on his clients and community alike.
In 1978, on his birthday, June 2, Guy married the love of his life, Candy, in a heartfelt ceremony in Kansas City, Missouri. Their marriage was a testament to enduring love and partnership, filled with shared dreams and countless cherished memories. Together, they nurtured a beautiful family, raising three wonderful children: Derick, Desire'e, and Shawn. Guy's pride in his children was evident to all who knew him, and his love for them was boundless.
Guy's departure leaves a profound void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is predeceased by his parents, Guy and Zelma, whose memories he held dear. He is survived by his loving wife Candy, his children Derick, Desire'e, and Shawn, and his seven grandchildren whom he was a devoted grandfather: Austin Johnston, Caitlynn Johnston, David Johnston, Ely Almanza, Wyatt Almanza, Logan Johnston, and Jocelynn Almanza, who will continue to honor his memory with love and gratitude. Each of his grandchildren was a source of immense joy and fulfillment for Guy, and he cherished his time with them, imparting wisdom and nurturing their growth, which they will carry with them.
Guy will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his lifelong pursuit of justice, and his profound impact on the lives of many. His spirit will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him, and his legacy of love and integrity will never be forgotten.
