Evelyn R. (Liles) Blackwell

Evelyn R. Liles, 80, of Kansas City, MO passed away July 30, 2026 after goodbyes from her family.

According to her last recorded wishes there will by a small rememberance gathering of her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren to be determined for a later date and location.

Evelyn was born November 9, 1945, the daughter of Clarence and Ruby (Markham) Liles in Opal, AR, the third of eight siblings.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, elder brothers Boyd Liles, Boyce Liles, and younger sister LuAnn Denboer.

Evelyn is survived by her younger brothers Dwane Liles, Randy Liles, Dennis Liles, and Shane Liles; her children Carlos Wayne Long, Scottie Allen Long (lost contact with), and Cynthia Ann Long; her grandchildren Carl V Long, James Jones, Randy Long, Amber Jones, Carla Long; great grandchildren Kamden Jones, Alexander Jones, Aloy Jones, and Adrian Richardson. This includes a large extended family and friends.

The family asks that memorial contributions not be sent but if you wish to do so, please send donations to your local hospice facility of choice.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of New Mark Care Center of Kansas City for the excellent care of Evelyn and especially her guardian, Marie White for ensuring her safety and well being. Condolences may be left for the family below.
