Erlinda Francia Martin, beloved mother and sister, passed away on February 9, 2026, in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 85. Born on November 13, 1940, in Manila, Philippines, to Flaviano Francia and Cornelia Madriaga, she was incredibly proud of her heritage and where she came from. Her roots dug deep into her culture.

Erlinda’s professional journey began as a journalist before evolving into a successful career as a physician and psychiatrist. She dedicated herself to helping others receive the medical care necessary to enhance their health, embodying a spirit of service that touched countless lives. Her intelligence and compassion made a lasting impact on those she served.

Known for her smart and fashionable demeanor, Erlinda frequently visited the tailor shop, ensuring that her clothes always fit perfectly. Erlinda was preceded in death by her husband, Catalino Martin, Jr., and her parents Flaviano Reyes Francia and Cornelia Ramirez Madriaga.
