Chris H. Comstock, born on January 4, 1947, in Iowa City, Iowa, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2025, in Belton, Missouri, surrounded by his loving family.
Chris dedicated a part of his life to his country by serving in the Air National Guard, demonstrating his commitment and valor. Outside of his military service, he was known for his love of the outdoors and enjoyed many peaceful hours fishing. He had a passion for collecting fishing poles and frequently visited his favorite fishing spot at Moose Creek Camp in Ontario, Canada. His affinity for nature not only brought him joy but also reflected his adventurous spirit.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Comstock, and their two children, son John Comstock and daughter Melissa Schmit. Chris also cherished his family, including his son-in-law Jason Schmit and his adored grandchildren, Emily and Jackson Schmit. He is additionally missed by his sister, Jacque VanCamp.
Chris was preceded in death by his father, Charles “Bob” Comstock, and his mother, Clema Comstock.
His legacy will live on through the countless memories shared with family and friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
