Carolyn Anne Aldridge, born Carolyn Anne Robison, passed away peacefully on June 9, 2025, at Homestead of Overland Park, at the age of 73. A longtime resident of Lenexa, Kansas, Carolyn’s life was defined by resilience, warmth, and a tenacious spirit that remained a part of her even through her later years of declining health.
Carolyn was born on July 10, 1951, in Oswego, Kansas, and grew up in Salina, where she developed the determined nature that would shape her career and life. She was the daughter of Wilford and Luellen Robison, who preceded her in death. Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband of over 40 years, Dennis Aldridge, her beloved daughter, Morgan Aldridge, and her brothers, Mark and Jack Robison.
Before her health declined following a stroke in 2005, Carolyn was a force to be reckoned with in the world of sales. A strong-willed and successful businesswoman, she brought energy, intelligence, and charm to her work, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike. Outside of her professional life, Carolyn embraced the joys of everyday living. She loved to shop, dine out, and spend time with friends—activities that brought her both pleasure and connection. She was also gifted in the art of cross-stitch and enjoyed scrapbooking, creating collections that reflected her creativity and patience.
Those who knew Carolyn will remember her as someone who approached life with passion and determination. Even after her stroke, she faced each day with quiet strength and humor, and her enduring spirit left an impression on all who cared for her.
A memorial gathering to celebrate Carolyn’s life is tentatively planned for Saturday, September 6, 2025. More details will be shared as plans are finalized. Her family welcomes friends and loved ones to join in remembering the remarkable woman she was and the life she lived so fully.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to organizations supporting stroke recovery or memory care, in honor of Carolyn’s journey and the many lives she touched.
Her family sincerely thanks the compassionate care provided by Homestead of Overland Park and hospice services by Interim HealthCare of Overland Park in her final days.
