Angela R. Hoenscheidt

March 3, 1967 — January 10, 2026

Kansas City, KS

Angela R. Hoenscheidt, a beloved wife, compassionate caretaker, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully at home on January 10, 2026, in Kansas City, Kansas, with her cherished husband, Robert Hoenscheidt, by her side. Born on March 3, 1967, in Kansas City, Missouri, Angela’s life was marked by her caring nature and her unwavering commitment to the well-being of those she loved.

Those who knew Angela will remember her for her nurturing spirit, particularly towards her cats. A true testament to her kindness was the day she took in a stray cat named Mommy Fat, ensuring she was safe from the elements. Angela's compassion extended beyond the immediate act of rescue; she later learned that Mommy Fat was pregnant and welcomed the arrival of kittens into her home. While most kittens found loving homes, one was lucky enough to stay, forming a special bond with both Angela and its mother, now affectionately known as Bob. The adventures of Mommy Fat and her mischievous escapades continued to be a source of joy and laughter in Angela's home, like the time Mommy Fat ran away from home only to be found a month later in the vents. After that, Angela told her she is not allowed back outside anymore, which Mommy Fat listened to as she did not show any interest in going outside after that.

Angela's affection for her pets mirrored her profound love for her family. She often expressed reassurance and care for Robert, one of her last meaningful messages being, "I have gotten you all taken care of, so you don't need to worry." Such sentiments highlighted the depth of their relationship and the lengths to which Angela would go to ensure the happiness and security of those around her.

In addition to her strong bond with her husband, Angela cherished her quiet time spent at home, often enjoying movies alongside Robert. Her passion for storytelling found a special place in her heart through her favorite series, Star Trek. Angela was captivated by the exploration of space, the richness of action, and the intricate diplomacy among the diverse alien races portrayed in the show.

Angela's legacy is one of love, care, and a gentle spirit that touched the lives of all around her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Franklin "Curly" Wiswell and Wanda Mae Wiswell.

Angela is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert Hoenscheidt.

Condolences and stories for Angela's family may be left below.
