Jeremy Lane Mosley

June 28, 1980 - March 31, 2019

Jeremy Lane Mosley (“Moe”), 38, of Liberty, MO, formerly of Haughton, LA, passed away March 31, 2019 due to complications from a heart attack. He was born on June 28, 1980 to Jerry Mosley and Terry (Cannon) Mosley. Jeremy was preceded in death by his mother.

Jeremy and his wife, Marliese (Swearingin) Mosley, shared five beautiful children: Trevor, Cameron, Jesse, Skyylar, and McKenzie.

Jeremy graduated from Haughton High School in 1998 and went on to serve in the U.S. Marine Corps, attaining the rank of Sergeant. Jeremy especially enjoyed his time stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was fascinated by the rich Japanese culture and heritage and even picked up some of the language. Jeremy was looking forward to someday being able to take his family to visit that beautiful country.

After his military service, Jeremy worked in the oil and gas industry as an oilfield machinist. He began his career with “East 80” in Haughton, LA. Most recently, Jeremy worked for over six years with Knight Oil Tools as their lead machinist.

Jeremy loved helping coach his kids’ soccer and basketball teams. He was also a student teacher with OBC Judo in Odessa, TX where he studied judo and jiu jitsu. He first became interested in martial arts under the direction of Robert Fatherlee, Jr. in Haughton, LA. An avid outdoorsman, Jeremy enjoyed hunting and fishing.

There was never a dull moment with Jeremy around. He was one of a kind and quite the jokester, making everything fun. Jeremy loved music, there was always a song playing or he was singing.

Jeremy’s family wishes to express their grateful appreciation to Liberty EMS and Liberty Hospital ER and ICU units for their compassionate care for him and the family.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Country Club Christian Church, 6101 Ward Parkway, Kansas City, MO 64113. Friends may call on the family during the visitation which begins at 1:00 p.m.
